FAD does not place a bid. Your amount is saved as a research simulation. When FAD later receives a recorded SOLD result, it compares your maximum with the recorded sale amount and emails you if your simulated amount would have cleared that price.
Simulation only. Simulated maximums are saved in $100 increments to match the platform bidding increment. “Would have won” means your saved maximum was at or above FAD's recorded final sale amount. It does not model ties, timing, deposits, bidder eligibility, clerk/court rules, redemption, cancellation, or later public-record corrections.
